The concept of the design: the key motto of the project is the revitalization of the school-yard and its conversion to the center of active life of the school. The school-yard will be transformed into a multifunctional park area, providing a suitable place for outdoor study, culture events, or for the students to spend their leisure time between their classes. A yard annex with new high- capacity cloakrooms and lockers, complemented with a cloakroom in the lobby, will replace the existing cloakroom booths. The yard annex will also hold an elevator for persons with limited capability of movement and orientation, an access ramp and a fire escape from the area of the gym located on the first floor.

The athletic and culture annex will be connected by a communication bridge to the main building. It will contain a multimedia auditorium for all-school events and after-school activities of the students. A multiple-use gym with a small stands for the guests, a fitness-room and an aerobic-room are also designed. A base for the performers and the guests, ideenforum and a cafe with a terrace for all the school sport and cultural events will be part of the building. The maximum application of natural materials, wood and vegetation roofs in particular, will provide for the high quality environment inside and outside of the building.
